Articulation Therapy

Articulation is how we make speech sounds using out mouth, lips, and tongue. When we have trouble saying sounds, that is an articulation problem. Articulation therapy works to help coordinate the movement in our mouth so we can make precise sounds that everyone can understand.

2

Language Therapy

Language refers to the words we use and how we use them to share ideas and get what we want. Having trouble understanding what others say is a receptive language disorder. Having problems sharing our thoughts, ideas, and feelings is an expressive language disorder. It is possible to have both a receptive and an expressive language problem.

3

Stuttering Therapy

This is the rhythm of our speech. People who stutter usually have more, and different types of, disfluencies than other people. They may repeat parts of words, stretch a sound out for a long time, or get stuck before starting a word or in the middle of saying a word. Stuttering therapy can include indirect-using parent focused strategies f the child is unaware; and direct- using specific terminology and strategies with the child.
